Spal Fan Install

I ordered the JDL Slim Fan shroud with the Spal fans, and haven't received any assistance from 86 Speed for the wiring part of the install. Can anyone advise me on how they wired their fans up? With relays to use... where to tap into the factory fuse box?

For the slim fans, you can wire them into the original fan wiring without relays because the max current they pull is below the rating of the fuses. Using the original connector is ideal, but using any waterproof electrical connector thag was support the current draw is sufficient.

I'm running the JDL shroud with the not so slim fans and have it set up this way.

86 Speedfactory are the worst at helping out with installation of things, wiring in particular.

Great! That's a perfect solution! Is there a noticeable difference with power draw?

There is not a noticeable difference. Fans work and pull air through the radiator.

Bringing this thread back from the dead...

So is this true?

Just asking because I am going to wire my dual SPAL fans directly into the OEM wiring myself.

Thanks in advance!
