Help with disable a code P0016 on a OFT

I have SBD turbo on my FRS and was tunes by shiv on an OFT

I believe that my ECU has a ghost code burnt in it (P0016 cam correlation Bank A) and i would like to disable the code,
could someone assist me on how to disable this on Romraider ? I know that a lot of the people will tell me not to do it, but I've been resetting it for the last 2 years on my tablet every time it comes on, I am willing to take the chance on disabling it.
I have tried all the tips and tricks people say to try, like swapping the sensors etc.

Any help would be great

Thx

You will need to open your tune in romraider and disable the P0016 cel code.

Note your actual tune calid may not be same as the tune name you will need to check with hex editor.

If your still throwing P0016 then your engine or ecu has a problem. Disavling the code only stops ecu taking action on detection of that code, you still have the underlying problem. Ie sensor ocv sproket\actuator or actual ecu inpit output channel issue.

Thanks.

I was doing some reading and seen a post about switching to ECUTEK instead of using an OFT and that stopped the code from happening, someone said they think it might be something in Shiv's tune that makes this happen. I will buy an ECUTEK and see if that stops it and if it doesn't I will start pulling this thing apart.

thx
Again

Most tunes from any tuner will ask more of cam vvt system than a stock tune.

Ecutek adjusts same tables in rom as oft.

The cam timingx used may be slightly differnt between tuners and this may cause an underlying problem to show up.

However using oft or ecutek or tactrix to fladh a tune is no different they all use same base ecu code just change tables.
Ie switching to ecutek is unlikely to solve your issue, altering cam tables might . But considering the thousands of people using oft tunes, and they dont alk get the cam issues unlikely is anythinv to do with tune system

I will confirm that the vvt servo issues have nothing to do with the tune system. One of the two ecutek-flashed units I've witnessed is sitting on my coffee table.

The code is there for a reason but if you insist on disabling(I accept no liability for any damage to your car);

Open your tune in Romraider
Find code
Turn off
Save tune
Upload to tablet
Flash to car

Would me using 5w 30 make the difference when it comes to cam codes? These cars are suppose to use 0w 20 I believe and after the turbo was installed I switch to 5/30.

You posted this on the romraider forum as well I'm guessing:

https://www.romraider.com/forum/view...p?f=33&t=15496

Call openflash before you start messing around in romraider, if you had to ask how to disable DTCs in romraider it's shows some lack of skill that could be detrimental. I seem to remember p0016 had a tsb out on earlier cars that required a cascade of replacements for them to diagnose and fix usually ending with a cam sprocket diagnosis.....

Yes some lack of skill for sure on Romraider and to why I asked. I'm just starting to learn the OFT and how it works.

I going to pull the motor this spring and I will check the sprocket while its out. I will update and confirm if that was the problem.

Thanks for your help
