JVC KW 740bt maestro and 2017 toyota 86 issues

Hello,

I recently ordered the JVC KW740bt, maestro, and Maestro TO1 harness from crutchfield. I paid the extra few dollars to have crutchfield wire up the harness.

Install:
Audio appears to work great (far better sound than stock, or perhaps placebo)
Mic works
Android auto/usb works

Issues:
When the canbus is hooked up gauges work however there is an issue where when I press the brake pedal, camera is triggered on the head unit? Going into reverse does not appear to trigger camera on head unit.

I have not successfully wired up the camera and am waiting for a pac harness to arrive as I tried splicing the cables from the 24 pin plug unsuccessfully.

According to maestro site the Maestro Harness should be the SUB01 harness??

Anyone have any insight?

Sounds like the reverse trigger was wired up wrong. The wire colors vary depending on the head unit. As far as the sub01 harness, maestro was supposed to be getting away from the to1 harness due to a battery drain issue.

Can't give more info than that right now as I'm at work, but just some very basic surface level info.
