Wedssport SA-10r 18xf8.5, r9.5 +45
4 Attachment(s)
I guys I'm new around here. I just got Weds in 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear both are +45 with pilot sport 4 225/40 for 4 wheels (you can see a little bit stretch in the rear wheels). The fitment with completely stock suspension seems good to me. Still, I'm going to get new tire in a couple of weeks and planing to get the pilot sport 4 with 225/40 front and 235/40 rear. Here come the question. Will I get rubbing problem in the rear with wider tire and stock sus ? Can I go for 245/40 ? The tire shop said I might get the problem with 245 with no camber adjustment, but I doubt that will be the case.

However, split offset will cause more understeer, but will be fine if that is what you're looking for. You can probably do 235 all around, add camber bolts to the front to add in negative camber. That would be a cheaper way to do it. |

OP, your car looks amazing!
So, I had a few different staggered setups. The larger the difference in tire width, the worse the car will drive. I would think about 245/35/18 all around. Or, keep your 225/40 front and get 235/40/18 or 245/35/18 rear. You could also run 245/35/18 front and 255/35/18 on the rear. IMO, a 225/40 255/35 stagger is not what you want. Camber bolts are good, but with only about 6mm of clearance, you won't be able to add much negative camber without adding a spacer or switching to coilovers. (I would get two more 18x9.5s for the front if you get coilovers. Then run the same 255/35 tire front and rear) Good Luck! |

I will get coils eventually. Was going with Tein Flex-Z with my previous Mazda car and I quite like the smooth riding feel. Any other options ? Now I have RSR-best I or Cusco spec A as alternatives.
