Gear adjusting?

Hi
Is there such a thing 'gear adjustment' in our cars?

From 2 to 3 sometimes it feels like pre grinding feel(like the synchro is on its way out)maybe it is just adjustment job or trans is about to be replaced.
2 friends drove my car and confirmed their brz's dont feels that way.

I'll ask our best transmission guy, @Ultramaroon to comment -

How many miles on your car?

Do you have a short shifter?

Have you checked the transmission fluid level?

How quickly are you trying to change gears? Is the transmission fully warmed up? I also have Motul 300 in my transmission and if I try to quickly change gears while the transmission is still cold it will feel like there is some resistance going into the next gear, sort of like it is about to grind. I've found that it's best to shift a little more "gently" until everything is fully 100% warmed up.

Have you adjusted the clutch pedal at all? If the pedal has been lowered too much it may not be fully disengaging the clutch, making it hard to jam it into gear.

Slow like granny.
And well warmed -all of those basic i always do.
I suspect the clutch require an adjustment .
It feels like the clutch isnt fully enggaged.
P.s i didnt play with the clutch bite level.

If the car is still under warranty, you may consider taking it back to the dealer and see what they have to say - :iono:

The dealer is bunch of morons.
They might go for the easy and quick solution-trans replacement.
I assume they dont know the idea of clutch/gb adjustment.

Well, that's too bad.

You may consider adjusting the clutch yourself.

This one is just for the bite point i think..
Saw that one.
My clutch is at the heighest bite point ..
I think there is another adjusting method ,which is more 'mechanical'

Well, I'm just not sure about this clutch. Back in the day, we would adjust the clutch travel so that it would disengage completely when the pedal was pushed all the way to the floor and at the same setting have at least one inch of free play when the clutch pedal was released completely.

How about the other gears, do they engage smoothly?
