Found a use for the pretty useless center dash pocket. Scangauge fits there perfectly. The pocket is easy to remove, just clips. Slide you hand in it, press down and slide it out. Remove the bottom rubber cover, just glued there with double sided tape. Disconnect the USB plug and then it will be totally out. I drilled a small hole in the back for the cable, installed the gauge and voila:
All kinds of good info: AFR, intake and water temps, timing, MAP, voltage, TPS and so on. It also doubles as code reader.

Pretty creative. Can you read it from driving position?

My Galaxy 2 fits in that pocket perfectly.

Unfortunately something like that would not work on BRZ because our cubby is smaller due to the push button start

Looks great though ;)

No problem reading from the driving position. Thank you for posting the pic.

Good idea.

I have found that cubby is the best place for my cell phone to live. Close to the USB for power, and prevents me from fussing with my phone since it is not easy to causally grab.

Doesn't it slide around a bit?

Cuz if it does, you can try this

Oh man! That's lovely. My Scangauge has been sitting on my desk for the past few weeks. I've been thinking of an install location but didn't even think about that pocket!

Do you have some more pics of the overall view?

EDIT: Just saw some questions answered above. Oops! Still curious of where you drilled the hole!
