Crank pulley spacer removal; help.
 

I am rebuilding the front of this brz, replacing the crank pulley SPACER is proving difficult. The pin broke off inside the spacer, ive been trying to pull the spacer out but with all my might to no avail.

Any help much appreciated. Thank you.

I don't know what you mean by the crank pulley "spacer".

If the clocking pin sheared during the impact there may be other internal damage. I can sympathize with wanting to dig as little as possible but I suggest making peace with the idea that further disassembly may be unavoidable.

The spacer should pretty much just slide out. If it was hammered in hard enough to break the pin it is pretty safe to say there is going to be a mess in there. That spacer has several functions.

i was ready to accept digging deeper, was really hoping i didnt have to and delay the build further but i think its for the best, especially since the spacer doesnt just slide out.

You might try heating up the area around the spacer with a torch. Maybe the heat will loosen up the spacer and the heated (expanded) area around it will allow the spacer to slide out - :iono:

Having tried to actually remove the pin and drill it out at one time, I can't imagine how hard of an impact hit it was to actually break it. And yes usually people have problems with that spacer coming out _too_ easily. What happened with it?
