OFT Stage 2 Tune - Check Engine Light
 

Does OFT Stage 2 Tune disables Check Engine Light Indication? I'm nearing 80,000 miles, and I want to make sure that I'm not missing any codes for misfires for spark plugs change.

And side question, when did you guys change your Spark Plugs?

It did for me. And at 59k, I haven't changed mine yet.

Owners manual says spark plugs at 60k

the only code that should be disabled is P0420 so your catless header doesnt throw a code.

P0420 wasn’t checked off on some V4 tunes. Hopefully that’s it and all you need is rom raider.

Plugs are indeed due at 60k. Get on it, your car will thank you. Either way p0420 is the only code disabled.

I think you completely misunderstood what its meant to disable or how it works.

First of all you must be running a catted or catless EL or UEL header. Second the check engine light it disables is P0420 which is an efficiency code related to being cat-less or having a hi flow cat. Thats the only CEL it disables.

You won't get a code for spark plugs. It needs to be done at 60k.
