Hood Gap Fix

Ever since I went boost my hood has not been lined up with my fender and sticks up too much. It creates a big gap and looks awful but I have no clue what it could be. I haven't touched the hood or how it aligns. Thanks.

If I push down on the hood then it seems to align good but as soon as I let up it goes back to how it was.

My guess is something is slightly in the way. Do you still have the hood pad? Is it dented?

Adjust the rubber stopper thing under the hood. It turns like a screw and raises or lowers either side front corner.

I had already adjusted the rubber pads all the way down prior to the pics. I will double check though.

Yes, I still have the pad but its not dented, the only thing that could be touching it is the bigger AC line that runs to the condenser but even after tucking it under something, the hood stays the same.

Does the hood latch fully, and if so does it latch with ease? If it does, the latching mechanism may be too high and isn't holding it down enough.

Sharp got it. Loosen the bolts and move the latch down a hair. I had to do that with mine.

I seem to be having the same issue. When you say move the latch down a touch what do you mean exactly?

Hood latches are bolted on and are able to be adjusted to get the correct height.

It should still use the stock latch doesn't it? Or does it use the pins?
The latch has slotted holes so you can adjust it.

The pins you adjust with the nut at the bottom.

It uses its own latch which doesn't seem to be adjustable unfortunately

The adjustable latch is what that part goes into. Should work exactly the same.

Ah OK, thank you! From a quick look I'd seen that the oem hood looks like you can alter how far the U shaped piece that goes into the latch extends so I'd thought that was what was being suggested.

In terms of the adjustment is the aim to get the U shaped piece to go further into the latch? My hood is only sitting up on the one side (the passenger side on a left hand drive car)

Thanks again for all the help.

By moving the latch down it pulls the hood down. If one side is up higher you will need to adjust the rubber stops on each side to even things out when the hood is closed. Remember to never slam the CF hood or those rubber stops will crack it.
