FRS 10

How do you turn on the FRS 10 display on for the dash?

FRS 10?

Do you mean the Series 10?

Do you also mean the passenger side "carbon" dash panel with the electroluminescent display that reads Scion Series 10, or whatever it is...

If yes, there is a toggle switch on the passenger side under the dash. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99469

I've actually been wondering.. How do I fix mine? It doesn't turn on even after toggling the switch.

i been thinking about ripping mine out and replacing it with that newer style black/red dash. it looks pretty cheesy

I thought it was cheesy too... but I have gotten a lot of Ouu's and Woah's from my passengers.

Are you sure its not working? In my experience it has to be pitch black to see it.

Not sure your experience or knowledge about it.

It only lights up when you are stopped and open the doors. Once you start moving it should turn off. Or it will cut off after about 30 seconds if you don't move. Same as the badges.

Even then, it's not worth fixing if it's broken. It's super gimmicky. You won't even notice it most of the time, except if a passenger points it out. There are so many better looking trim pieces out there. I'd go that route or just leave it dead. I can't image what Toyota would charge.

Hmm I'm not sure if it was pitch black. I'll have to try that.

You're so right though. No use is paying a premium to get it repaired. :( (I am a sucker for things that light up though)

How do you disable the badge lighting?

You unplug them. The rear badge can be unplugged in the inner section of the trunk lid. The front badge can be unplugged by the hood latch area up front.

The button under the dash only controls the dash panel light. The badges must be unplugged to disable lighting.
