Endlink bolt issue
So I am currently installing some new coilovers. The endlink bolt is seized and the hex is pretty much stripped.
Any ideas? Cut? Or remove bolt that connects to the sway bar (is that the same hex issue) Thanks |
The bolt is actually a stud that is part of the end link. If the hex is already stripped just drill it out. If you have anymore to remove, I recommend heating the nut a little before attempting to remove.

Well I actually started turning the nut. But its now stuck. I assume if i decide t saw off the stud I need a new endlink or can i replace the stud?

You might as well get some adjustable endlinks, sometimes with a lowered car the factory ones will rub the control arm. |
If they've been on the car for longer than a couple years you'll probably have to cut them off unless you got really lucky. If you ever have to do it again, you can try to soak them with PB Blaster or WD40 first and wire brush the threads.
