thinking of getting DT stage 2 flex fuel tune, do I need a flex fuel kit?

correct me if i'm wrong, getting a flex fuel tune with the actual kit i have to drain the tank all the way down before switching fuel types, whereas with the kit i don't have to worry about that. is this correct? so is a flex fuel kit an must have if to get a flex fuel tune? if so, who sells them? i know delicious tune does, who else?

Flex fuel tunes require a flex fuel kit so that there is a sensor emitting the ethanol percentage of the fuel. The purpose is to allow you to run gasoline or E85 or any mixture of the two. If you want to run straight E85, you only need an E85 tune. You cannot mix gasoline and E85 with an E85 only tune.

To my understanding, a flex fuel tune allow you to use different level of ethanol gas without constantly changing tunes. That means it is only useful if you have a flex fuel kit that reads the ethanol content level. Without a kit a flex fuel tune it is relatively useless. It would be better to get a full e85 tune for maximum power if you want to run e85.
