Which coilovers for $1400 and under?

Been out of the scene for a minute now. Im looking for quality budget beast coils with a good drop. Which brand do you recommend? I see a lot of great feedback on the different manufacturers on here....

For DD and occasional track use, along with a swift upgrade if applicable...
KW v1
Fortune Auto 6series
Tein Flex A or Z
BC extreme low
MeisterR
Bilstein B14 pss
Etc.

Feel free to list anything Ive missed, thanks in advance!

GTWORX/BILSTEIN Trophy Cup Coilovers (comes with Swift and Lifetime Bilstein warranty) Will be more than $1400 and due soon.

CSG Tein Flex A (track tested by CSG and rebuildable) $1400

"Good" drop (if one does care about handling) is NOT very low drop, best to lower within 1". For that most will do.

Parts by Max. Although they're more for drift

For under $500 you can go with a good set of lowering springs that will be every bit as effective as coil overs. The only valid reasons to go to coil overs is if you need clearance or want to be able to change adjustments.

Thanks for the feedback keep them coming

Coil overs in general up to and including the most expensive. UNLESS you want adjustability or a certain combo of spring rate and damping that only coil overs can give you.

I disagree. they'll get you low, but the stock damper with most lowering springs wont be well matched to the spring like a coilover is. that said, for 1400, id absolutely buy the CSG Flex A

My used T2s with 25,000 miles on them.

If you buy the quality springs they are pretty well matched. Buy the cheap ass ones and you may as well be throwing random parts on. Same applies to coil overs though. Let's keep in mind that unlike throwing springs on a base Civic these cars are starting out with a much better than normal stock shock. I know everybody likes to throw stuff at the car like it is a 15 year old low trim sedan but you are not working with the same low end stuff.

I run Flex Z's. I was really hesitant to buy them because they are one of the cheaper coil overs out there. I am very happy with them. They ride very well, the car feels very stable and planted on track. Even when taking a bunch of curb mid corner on a downhill that cambers to the outside.

My previous setup was H&R springs on stock dampers.

The OEM suspension is acceptable and there were also revisions to make it a bit different. Nevertheless, such a suspension either it is branded by Showa or Sachs, it is still made under the same strict 'general maitenance schedule" and cost guidelines of a production car so I wouldn't consider it the best available or in general better...

For sure, not to an extent a true performance driver will call it outside the PR talks, a performance suspension.
