Shorai battery install HELP!

Hey guys,

Finishing up my shorai install and i've hit a bit of a snag. The positive wire that connects to the battery cannot be tightened down enough to make a solid connection. Suggestions?

Did you have to install the brass connections on the terminals for the shorai battery? If so, they are two different sizes. The positive one should be larger, and the negative one should be smaller. That's how it was on my braille battery I installed a few days ago.

Bubba says to take the bolt out, cut a slice out of the connector with a hack saw, then put the bolt back in and tighten ...... repeat if necessary.

Looks like it fits fine? Seems like for the nut on the positive terminal you're actually missing a square washer.

@Elliotw Just took a picture of my 11lb Braille battery. Right is positive; left is negative. What humfrz said ain't a half bad idea either. You could take it out and sand down the bit to allow the nut to move if you can't find a washer/spacer.

Since you already have it sorted out, this is probably irrelevant, but as someone already stated, it looked like you were missing one of the square washers on the connector. That probably would have given you the extra clamping force needed to secure the connector to the terminal. I didn't have this issue with mine.
