ways to up the engine output without going FI
i'm looking for modest power gain, like about <10 hp and lb-ft gain. so far i have Greddy SP catback exhaust and TRD air filter. what else i can get to get more power out of our car without going FI?

EL or UEL exhaust manifold and tune E85 good for even more HP and torque Lots of info on this site |
Also lowering weight. For just <10hp to your already upgraded airfilter i'd add whichever ecu tuning, OFT or Ecutek. And maybe E85.
If want more, then go for aftermarket header, cat deletes and such, +tune for them of course. |

Tune. Even at stock setup a tune is your best bang for the buck. Also gives you the ability to change as you add parts. The stock tune is intended to meet emission and mileage requirements. This can only happen by sacrificing performance.

As others have said, main ingredients are a proven/quality long tube header + good tune. After that I'd say manifold spacers (Crawford blocks, need to tune for these), and then maybe 4.56 final drive. If E85 is readily available, add that to the mix. Everything else (intake, OP, FP, exhaust) will provide marginal gains (but dramatically increased volumes).

imho many have overlooked "for modest power gain, like about <10 hp and lb-ft gain" bit. At no point there was question of max NA gains with bolt-on mods. And seeing modest wish i somewhat guess that non-mentioned budget might be low.

Also, if you start with an unlocked ots tune, I can assure you it will give you hours of entertainment working on getting it running just the way you like it, with no further monetary input.

Also keep in mind, what you spend can vary a lot. Buy used if on a budget: Good quality used header: $450 OFT: $400 That right there, using canned tunes, will get you pretty darned far. |

Oh ya those vents you put on your front fenders. Those are good for about 3hp each.
But seriously start with a tune. That will be the building block for any mods later on so it will not be a waste of money. |
As others said, start with a canned tune.
