OFT throttle response
I’m sure I saw a topic about this before but I couldn’t find it. So after the loading the latest version stage 2+ E85 flash (2017 Brz), I notice a big difference of throttle responsiveness compare to stock, especially when trying to accelerate from stop. Like the gap from where the gas pedal sits to where the “actual gasing” point got bigger. Is it a common thing and is there a solution?

When ever you flash the ECU or disconnect the battery, the ECU has to relearn the pedal. I believe theres steps to get it relearned or you can drive it and it'll relearn by itself after a few miles....Now if you still have the problem after the ECU has relearned it, then theres probably a slight hiccup on the tune file.

Yep pretty much what Kevlar said. I saw some people saying to turn the accessories on and press in the gas pedal in and out like 30 times to help the car relearn. I tried this myself and personally didn’t think it helped (felt the dead zone like you)
Don’t worry though, it will go away and feel better after some driving. Mine took around 60ish miles before the deadzone was completely gone |
Exactly what's been said before me. When I flash a new tune with the oft, there's some "play" in the actual accelerating point in the gas pedal. I usually drive for at least 30 minutes and it becomes more responsive the more I go along.

For me, i usually have to drive 100-150 miles of easy cruising. Then after that, go to full throttle at a lower gear (maybe 2nd) and then your pedal should come back.

Weird, it just disappeared today all of a sudden lol
