3D printed "Deep Dish" Fuse panel cover

2 Attachment(s)
Like many others I use add-a-fuse taps in my under-dash fuse panel. The taps are large enough that the OEM fuse panel cover no longer closes. This can expose the fuse panel to the driver's shoes and whatever might be on them water, mud, snow, etc). Not ideal.

So I designed a deep-dish fuse panel cover that replaces the original. The attached obj file can be run out of any 3D printer to produce a decent replacement cover with an extra inch of clearance inside, plus side cutouts for cables etc.

This fits great on my 2013 BRZ. I have not tried it on other cars, so Your Mileage May Vary (No gaurantees). Feel free to take the obj file and modify it.

Fit can be adjusted with sanding or electrical tape as necessary. You may want to notch the sides out wider depending on number/location of fuse taps.

The fuse diagram is from the BRZ wiring guide pdf you can find on this forum.

FYI you can print these through any FDM printer. I belive some HomeDepot stores and some public libraries have 3D printers for rent. You can also
use the shapeways.com printing service if you upload the obj file. I used file2fab in Santa Monica. Paul was very helpful and turned the job around in a day. Prints should cost around $25 dep on provider and material used.

A final disclaimer: This is my amateur work. It worked fine on my 2013MY with a little sanding of the clips, but I don''t gaurantee it will work flawlessly for you. I'm not selling anything. Take & use the model for free. Have fun with it!

That's OK, I'm sure one of the vendors will jump on this, put a logo on it and sell them for $86. :D

Wow this looks great. Wish I could buy one!

Crazy! I'm in the middle of installing my first add-on this weekend. Just figured I would throw the OEM cover into the glove box and leave it at that. Thanks for an elegant solution.

There have to be 3D printing services in Seattle? Or mail-order it from shapeways.com .... Just give them the obj file I attached above.

Great idea. I chose the "lazy" solution, lol.

The proper phrase is "This is how it should have come from the factory".
