High pitched chirping when AC on??

I've developed a mildly annoying sound in my car that is apparently not crickets, and while the Toyota dealer couldn't hear it, I certainly can.

It literally sounds like a cricket chirping nonstop but it's only when I have my AC on, and most noticeable on fan setting 2.

Could there be some debris in the blower motor? If so, how would I go about checking it out?

Thanks in advance.

When you mean AC, you are talking about the compressor right?
What happens if the AC if off and the fan at speed 2? If there is no noise, then it's not the blower motor.
If the noise is still there, then there is a good chance it's the blower motor. Bearing maybe.

If the noise is only there when the compressor is running, then it has nothing to do with the blower motor. Check if the noise is coming fom the accesories belt.

Check your cabin air filter too. Also open the hood when it's doing it and listen around to where it's coming from

Changed the cabin filter last week but glad for the suggestion as I found some dead ants up in there (wtf?!) and tapped them all out on the ground.

I seemed to have isolated the noise to the round thing plugged in under the glove box. I turned the AC compressor off and still heard the noise from this area, as well.

Is said round thing the blower motor?

Yes it is the blower. Take a look at the last couple of posts here - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=97411&page=2

The ant's and other debris may be within the motor now and may have effected the motor. If you still have a warranty it's best to have it replaced, if not do the wd40 trick.

My blower motor makes the same noise, will try the WD-40 trick whenever i have time. '13 GT86 with 69k miles on
