Clutch pedal squeaking when clutch is in motion
So I recently had the engine block replaced on my 14 brz. They also replaced the throwout bearing while they were in there. Recently the clutch pedal has started making a squeaking noise when I press it, but only while the pedal is moving. Makes no difference whether the car is on or off. It sounds something similar to walking in wet flip flops. I took it to the dealer who did the work and they told me the pressure plate fingers are the cause of the noise. I suspect the throw out bearing. Has anyone else here experienced a clutch noise like this? And if so what was the cause.

Have somebody listen around the engine bay while you operate the clutch. The first and easiest thing to check is that the push-rod on the slave cylinder is properly greased, it will squeak if dry. If that isn’t it, I would suspect the throw out bearing... but if that is being replaced you might as well replace the whole clutch assembly while the transmission is out.
