Help me understand what Im looking at on the OFT

So, I have the OFT and I have a 2017 BRZ with PP.

I have installed FT86 Speedfactory Headers with Cat and the off the shelf tune from OFT for these.

I'm now trying to see if there are any issues with the tune using the real time display to see if anything pops out.

However . . .

I don't understand how to interpret this stuff for the most part. I know I want to check my knock correction but I don't know what should be normal.

Specifically there is KC and FLKC.

I notice that the screen that shows all the different real time data from all the different variables shows the KC's little bar go all white after I get on the car a few times. If I press the KC button a screen pops up with 0.00 and with two "add" categories. As I make pulls it stay 0.00, except maybe for a split second under heavy load every once in a while I see .75 and two green bars at the bottom. If I press on the FLKC button I get a similar screen except it has a 1.00 and half the bar at the bottom is lit up starting with the green bars and changing color up to the half way point. No matter what I do this does not change as I'm driving.

I just want to know what is normal.

I've tried reading the posts regarding how to understand this stuff but I just don't understand what I should be looking for. I don't want to change anything, just make sure my tune is safe.

take a log, throw it up on datazap.me & share. its tough to pay attention to that while staying between the lines & not up someones bumper.

you can also look at others in the datalog thread to get an idea for what others cars look like running well.

those values dont seem high to me.

Read that. It's mostly for older subaru ecus, but the logic is the same on ours. Biggest difference I am aware of is our IAM ranges from 0 to 1, rather than from 0-16.

If you are still having difficulty (it's complicated, no shame), I would suggest asking further questions in regards to that.

KC (in article as FBKC I think) is immediate correction based on detected knock. A blip every now and then is normal. FLKC is learned timing correction. I think 1 is fine for this one. If IAM is 1, you probably don't have anything to worry about knock-wise.

Not everything logs or displays correctly on the current 2017 oft tunes. There is a new tune coming that hopefully fixes it all.

See above link

Note the logging on 2017 roms has only just been fixed so you might need to update oft and template file
