Help! Differential bushing bolts mis-aligned
Installing the whiteline differential mount in cradle bushings. Added the bottom vertical bushings and as I go to retighten the drivers bolt will not thread smoothly. Once I tighten it to max torque it still has about a 1/4 gap on the bottom washer. I don't know what to do..I've tried wiggling and repositioning the diff as much as I can but it doesn't solve anything. Is it possible the female threads are bent?

Sounds like you have at this point crossthreaded it. Best to remove the bolt and bushings and run a tap through it nice and straight and start over.

Jesus. How bad could this be if I can't get the thread going? This might be a rookie mistake but I was unable to get all four corners on jack stands safely so I've been working with just the rear raised. Does that matter?
