DIY: Rear Brake Light Removal for Air Release, Diffuser Mod
3 Attachment(s)
my goal was to remove the Rear Reverse/Brake Light module in the bottom rear diffuser to let the air out of the "rear bumper parachute" given i replaced the OEM muffler with a dual muffler set, but I did see any info on how. so i climbed under the car and took some pictures for reference.
you will need a small 8 mm socket, (space is too small for a wrench) two screws on top middle of module and a medium/standard flat head screw driver, to unclip 2 push pins on each end then there is compression fitting in the center bottom. then used 5 small zipties to secure the loose wires to existing wires out of the way. i used small ties because they are more pliable, and less likely to cut into the wires. i ordered this set https://www.diodedynamics.com/fr-s-b...up-module.html to relocate the turn signals to tails, and use the clear reflective housings for brighter backup bulbs. i plan to fill the brake light hole with honeycomb mesh like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-B...19.m1438.l2649 |
may use this for mesh
