Weird AT Transmission shifts

So my AT runs perfect, no issues shifts fast, car is really great. Only issue is if I make a hard left with acceleration the tranny does not shift immediately and will go to 4000 before shifting. Does not do this on hard rights. Not really a problem but its noticeable. Any of the AT guys experience this?

so if I'm understanding the concern correctly, while in auto mode when you take a hard left your transmissions goes up a gear and drops your revs to 4000 but when you take a right it stays in a lower gear with the revs up? do you have sport mode on? if so, it shouldn't go up a gear unless you aren't really on the throttle.

have never experienced this.

nope.

As odd of a thing as this is I can actually recall having this happen on my car. Reason being that there is a left turn right before I get home at a light and if im just barely on the pedal it shifts normally for the most part. Now if I give it a little more throttle taking the turn it does seem to rev up higher and hold it before shifting. Reason is I can remember noticing it was because I was thinking why hasn't it shifted up yet.

I also get a certain odd "feeling" when powering into a left turn. I just realized I may get some strange responses from certain people on this forum about this post.....

But seriously, there is a certain "feeling" that I get from the car every once in a while - it's hard to replicate - could be the transmission - never thought of that.

Actually @Earnst72 this may not be an issue but a design feature.

As I recall, the AT was designed to hold the current gear in aggressive curves to avoid a mid-shift that could cause issues with traction. This emulates how on a manual transmission you would not shift gears in the middle of a hard turn. There was discussion of this early on in 2012 when released, but I didn't search.

I have experienced this myself (left or right) if I'm really pressing the throttle accelerating through a turn when in full auto.

This is what I always assumed and decided not to worry about it because it seemed to make the most sense.

Thanks for the responses. The explanation makes sense so I will not worry about it. Just weird it seems to do it more on left turns than right. No big deal. Ill just press the accelerator down a little bit more.
