Can RSR coilovers be rebuild?

After a lot of miles I feel like my RSR Black-I coilovers need a rebuild. Anybody know of a good shop that can rebuild them? Are they even rebuildable? I know it was possible with my old KW v3's

Best bet would be to email or call RS-R US offices, they should be able to point you to a local rebuilder if possible, if CA means SoCal you may even be able to take them to the source.

However don't be surprised if they do not offer a rebuild service and would rather sell you a set of replacement dampers. They look a bit like BC/Megan units, so there may be someone willing to rebuild out there given that Feal and Fortune Auto are willing to rebuild theirs (and others) units which are based on the BC/Megan/Godspeed/etc. hardware. Find your local racers, there's likely a little tuning shop that can and will do a rebuild for a reasonable price if they're familiar with the hardware.

They are not BC/Megan racing units at all. Im fairly confident they are rebuildable.

Yes they can. Contact the RS-R US headquarters.

So I contacted Feel Suspension and they said their not sure if they can do it but I can drop them off so they can take a look but unfortunately I'm not local.
I also contacted RSR and they said no problem for $250 a piece plus parts if their needed which ends up being 1K minimum for all four and they will have to order parts from Japan which will take awhile. I feel that's a little to expensive.
Anyone has any more recommendations?

It's more of a liability issue and the capacity to build up to that quality standard as well as providing the proper components to perform the rebuild. Generally speaking, you will want to keep manufacturers strict to their system in order to maintain that level of quality. RS-R generally ships their kit out to Japan for rebuild.
