Front Passenger Tire Cupped
 

Hey guys,

I recently ran into this problem and I'm not sure what is wrong with the suspension or wheel. Only the front passenger side tire is cupped but all the other 3 tires are fine. I took the vehicle over to a local shop to check to see if there was anything wrong with the suspension and they confirmed nothing was wrong with the suspension. They checked the alignment and nothing was wrong.

The only thing that leads me to believe what is wrong is that front tire is unbalanced. However, the cupping is only on the inside of the tire and the car does not vibrate during driving or acceleration.

Do you guys think it could be from worn ball joints? I also don't think my struts are bad either since I just switched them over to RSR Sports I 10k miles ago.

Rebalance all tires and check struts for leaks or other damage.

The shop was wrong. Cupping is caused by bad dampers. The wheel is oscillating undamped and that causes the cupping.
