Wheel fitment (Fender lip roll)
 

Just got some tires/wheels for my Subaru BRZ 2013.

17x9 wheel 45mm offset
tire 245 / 40 all around

Tire rack support recommended I get a small fender lip roll.
I took it to a shop and they said they would do the lip roll after the tires are on and get a better idea on where to lip if needed anywhere.

I have read many threads and from what I can see, these should fit without issues on stock suspension but wanted to make sure they will go on the car when I get the wheels/tires.

If anyone has any experience with this setup tire/wheel please let me know. Otherwise, I need to find a different shop that will do this fender lip roll. I know its like $200 to just buy the roller but I would rather have a shop do it so I do not chip any paint...

The plan now, is to put on wheel/tire and look to see if it causes any tire issues and take it into the shop after and show them the issue.

Stock suspension

What is the offset of the wheel?

I'm running a 9.5" (+45) wide rear wheel with 255/35 AND lowered with no rubbing. You should be fine at stock height.

Offset is 45mm
I am thinking it will be fine then without needing to fender lip roll and assuming Tire Rack just said that to cover their end if for some reason there were issues.

You won't need any fender roll. But you will need a 3-5mm spacer up front. 9 width and +45 offset rubs sway bar or tie rod under full lock.

to add to that, if you were to add a camber bolt up front,

you might need to get extended studs and run a 10mm or 5mm spacers, because 9 offset 45 is very tight up there.

And you dont need to roll your fender at stock height, even if you're lowered as well.

45 offset meaning the wheel sit closer to your suspension rather than your fender.

just slap the wheel on and dont worry about rolling anything.

This is me with 17x9 35 235/45/17 offset which is wider than your spec. and I am still on stock struts with RCE Yellow. It still have an inch wheel gap. no need to roll anything,

So getting two 3mm spacers for the front should do it?

Yes. But keep in mind that all cars aren't exactly the same to the MM. And that under extreme conditions(hard cornering/speedbumps/u-turns) your experience might be different. less than 3mm isn't exactly a lot of clearance, but many people have no problems. I personally wouldn't risk it as I purchased a used set of 17x9 +45 and the inside lip had 1mm+ of the inside lip scraped off(paint+metal), even with a 3mm spacer, there would be 2mm or less clearance.

Since you already purchased them, I'd tell you to mount them with 3mm spacers and put a flashlight under and see how much clearance you have and if you feel safe enough to use it like that.

So I am leaning away from 3mm spacers then it would suck if something bad happened.
Any coilovers someone can suggest that would bring the inside so it doesn't hit since that seems to be the issue at this point from what I am reading

Anything with smaller diameter springs will work. Usually height adjustable type or type that comes with springs installed. Pretty much everything except "stock replacement"

I just purchased the KM Varient 3 coilovers assuming I should be clear now? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I was in the same position as you with 17x9 +45 3mm spacers, etc etc.
