TRACKTION CONTROL @ STABITITY CONTROLL
I am having a problem after putting on new tyres 245/18/40 . At high speed if i wiggle the steering wheel a little,
the stability control light comes on and starts applying brakes. This has never happened before. Is tyre size causing the problem? Old tyres were 235/18/40 |

thanks, swarb Hope that,s all the problem is . Not a good feeling when you are doing speed and shit starts going on.
|
absolutely not tire size.......
|
All 4 tires the same size? New tires will have a slightly larger diameter, and may be mismatched between front and rear.

Vmax911 i have 235/40/18 on the front and 245/40/18 on the rear. the rear tires are only 1 week old , front 3years old. Not shore if that would make any difference. will do some burnouts on the weekend and see if i can get that new oil,y stuff off the new tires.

Your tires dont have the same circonference. The stability control see the wheels not turning at the same speed, and thinks wheels are spinning.
You need to have 4 tires of the same size. |
Did you get alignment after? I had similar issue after putting larger tire in the rear and one the rear lower arm were way off.

Think it was just the silocone on tyres problem has gone now that i have worn them in a bit.
