EPS failure. All indicator lights on. Radio, A/C, Windows,

Update: I turned the car on and i checked the alternator to see how much it was putting out and i got nothing from it. So i disconnected the battery and the car died immediately. Im pretty certain that I have a bad alternator at this point. What do you think?

Original post: as I left work I turned my car on and noticed all my indicator lights on my dash were on. I went to back out and noticed the power steering was out. Upon further inspection I noticed that the radio A/C and Windows weren't working as well. When I got home I checked the fuses in the cab as well as the ones under the hood but none of them were burnt.

I'm currently stationed in Europe, when I left the states I was told that my warranty would be voided. I will take the car in to a service shop this weekend but I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience.

Nope, no experience like that.

You may wish to check the main fuse (fusible link) and some of the relays.

This is what the fuses looks like. It looks like it burnt but it still has a connection could this be the issue and what might have caused this to blow?

Have you done any mods to the car or all stock?

Have your alternator checked, an over amp condition from a bad voltage regulator would do this.

Everything is stock. I thought about the alternator just wasn't sure I hope it didn't cause more damage.

Ya an overcharge from a bad regulator or a dead short someplace are the two main suspects. Take a good look around for damaged wires. Not parked someplace where there could be rodents is it? The fuses should have protected everything but the root cause is what needs to be found.

Hmm I did look for damaged wires because were I live there are weasels or some rodent that sometimes jump under the hood and like to chew wires but I haven't been able to locate any chewed wires. I'll look again. I do have insurance to protect me if that's the case. If not the problem I'll have to tow it to a shop to get it looked at.
