Question about transferring ownership of car
 

My father passed away more than year ago and I figured I haven't yet changed ownership of my dad's car.
Question is how do I transfer ownership of car when owner is deceased without will/estate in Ontario?
Anyone has done this before?

You might be shit out of luck.

Best bet is to go to a Service Ontario or whatever they call themselves now and ask. I don't think you need to pay anything to transfer the title if its immediate family, but it's been a while since I've looked into it. You're also going to need to have insurance on the car to transfer the title.

Cole is correct, you might be S.O.L.

If there is no will/estate, the car is in limbo and Service Ontario might very well refuse your transfer since the owner signature isn't present to transfer ownership. If they do it by the book, they should refuse your request.
