CAN Bus solution database (what works/what doesn't work)

I wanted to make a thread with a list of solutions that are verified and it's known what actually works and what doesn't. It is important to note where you can buy it because for the most part, the solution you buy and the features that work will depend on the supplier off the ECU as in most cases they have needed to write custom code in order to support the stock CAN BUS system.

I will update the OP as more people post.

What Works means, it HAS BEEN VERIFIED WORKING ON A CAR, not "it MIGHT work or it SHOULD work"

Push Start Verified means that the solution has been fully tested on a push button car and it work just like in a regular key car.

Removing dash lights or covering them with tape does not count as "IT WORKS!!" :bellyroll::bellyroll:

Please feel free to correct me if there is any misinformation.

Without further ado, (please follow the format as much as possible).

We have traction control activated/deactivated by the factory traction control button on the shifter trim. Cluster traction lights function along with it. It's just way better traction control firmware than an oem ecu has :)

I'll add it to OP

the "fuel pump regulator" is a mechanical device that's part of the pump assembly so I'm not sure what you mean here?

I think he means the pump controller.
It's a small device under the panel next to passenger side rear seat.
Stock pump doesn't run at 100% all the time, it can be throttled by the controller. I bypassed the controller so the pump runs 100% at all times.

The Pure Automotive Motec 130 solution seems the most complete so far. The 2JZ electronics are done and it looks like they're working on a LS application. For those that live in a OBD2 emission state, is there a way to pass emissions though? Please PM me if this is better answered privately.

Running a standalone is certainly the "best" solution to solve the various electronics challenges... but also costs approx 10x the amount of the others. A Motec M1 is almost 6k for a normal FT86, and then you'll incur addtional costs likely in the thousands for the custom wiring harnesses needed to integrate the engine and body wiring.

The package includes ecu, license, the swap firmware, wiring harness for engine/body integration, etc

Put me on the list for that!...seriously I'm ready for a motec LS kit, what do you need from me, to get on the list?

The ls is still in progress. We got the harness finished last week, just need to finish up the firmware. Race season starts next week, so the shop car is taking all of the tuners attention right now. Should pick back up on the ls package before the end of the month. It is coming along though. We do have an already running ls swapped frs in house we built 2 years ago that is getting the full plug and play package.
