side skirt holes

Hi

I drilled holes for my HT auto side skirts. Getting rid of my side skirts now.

What can i fill the small holes with?

Thanks

If the holes are on the underside of the car use some black silicone/RTV to seal them up and insert a christmas tree-styled push pin into the hole.

You can find plugs at home depot, lowes, or similar.

BUT, I would say take off the side skirt, touch up the holes with paint, let them fully dry (without driving the car so you dont get water INTO the rockers), apply a mix of white lithium grease+ motor oil (small amount) to the holes (try to spray inside the rockers), and then put in the plugs with a small dab of RTV to seal them.

And also worth nothing this is why I tell people to never do this style side skirts. The rust concern is huge.

Quick sidebar - which side skirts don't require drilling?

Bondi, gum, plugs like on 1st page.

When installing side skirts i sprayed primer into the holes I drilled. I'll get some plugs and seal it off with RTV.

My Bayson R STI replicas didnt. Screws at the end and brackets on the bottom with 3M tape on the sides.

I just installed bottomline side skirts and I only drilled into plastic in the car. It's not metal between the under carriage and the side of the car. That textured painted rocker panel is plastic. I didn't bother putting anything in the holes except the mounting screws. No chance of rust.

STI (same as series blue), TRD (US or Japan), or nur spec.

Anyone know if Varis side skirts need drilling? (Arising II)

^^No its not. The coating is a plastic sprayable coating we call PCV, but the rocker is metal.

funny, what I just drilled out was plastic. No metal.
