TRD Engine Aluminium Racing Valve Oil Fual Cap Filler Cover

Recently I splashed out on a oil filler cap for a Toyota 86 just to give my engine bay a bit more bling.

I have herd that if you get a cap that is not air tight it will leak oil onto the engine. That makes sense, so has anyone had any experience with this type of mod. What I will make sure is the rubber gasket is big enough and is of the same as the original as I may expect issues.

Buy a real one and have no issues. Or simply swap the o-ring from the stock one. You need to make sure the sticker isn't pre-stuck from the factory before you screw it in, so you can apply it after for the perfect alignment. Also take note that it is aluminum and will be too hot to open with the engine warmed up.

Thanks, yes this seems like the safest way to do it....I thought of taking the O-ring from the OEM part to the after market version. I am confident that the after market version shouldn't affect the oil quality.
