Wheel fitment help

Hello everyone!

I have a 2016 BRZ and I'm wanting to change my wheels to a 17x8.5 or 9 with a 30 offset and a 1in drop. My question is if I do that will I run into any clearance issues? Secondly, what would be a good tire size? Any information will help, thank you!

You won't have any clearance issues at all, tire size if you want a meaty setup, 235/40 17

I gave up. Apparently "fitment" is now the appropriate noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, conjunction, preposition, and interjection for anything involving the actual word "fit".

The fitments of anger it was causing were affecting my health and I just want to fitment in with the crowd.

this link works. http://frsproject.com/

i run 17x9 +25 with 245/40 tires and it fits with a 1.4-1.5" drop all around. however i am running coilovers and -2.5 camber all around.

your set up may hit the strut tower in the front depending what tire size you pick. with coilovers however you can go for a meatier set up without any worry.

I have a 17x8 +45 wheel with 235/45 tires and lowering springs with -1.2 camber up front. the inner sidewall of the front tire is about half an inch from the spring perch. you might run into rubbing issues if you go with a wider wheel on stock suspension. if you're getting coilovers then it will be no problem.

I'm gonna be running an 18x9.5 +38 with a 245/40 18 on lowering springs, idk what my camber is at but the lowering springs are one of the highest drops, it's about -1.5. There is about 2mm of clearance between the strut and the tire though.
