DIAM FRONT BRAKE DISK

Hi All,

I don't find the diameter of front brake disk but I think it's 293mm for 86/BRZ.
For replacement we can find 277mm or 293mm, someone knows why these 2 sizes ?

In Australia there are 2 models of 86: GT and GTS. GT has 277mm diameter front discs. GTS has 294mm diameter front discs.
Having a quick look at the Toyota Europe website I'm guessing the corresponding models would be Standard and High.

That's what I though but I never saw 2 models in Europe, at least in France only one that's why I was surprised to see 2 diam for the same level car on french's website for spare parts.
I will check on car the next time I can :)

There were also 16" wheels on AUDM GT vs GTS trim that had 17", but all BRZs/GT86s in EUDM IIRC had 17". So i'd double-check which size ir right for EU twin. It's also possible for all of them @EU to have same brakes. BTW, why not ask at some local Toyota dealership in France, which part number brake disks are right for you according their part inventory system?

You can tell from looking at it. There will be a pretty small gap between the caliper bracket and rotor hat for the 276mm brakes, like 5mm. The 294mm brakes will have more space, like 10-15mm.

Are the rear discs vented or not? solid rears would indicate the smaller fronts.

You could take your wheel off, grab some measuring tape and measure the diameter and then buy the appropriate one. Even if your measurement isn't exact, ~15mm difference will be obvious enough to tell which one you need.
