Taillight problem.

1 year ago I cut open my Taillights and painted them. One week ago it rained heavily and some condensation got inside. Now the taillight has some weird foggy line. It looks like condensation but it's not. Any way I can clean this without having it to reopen?http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...94888371f3.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...938e421381.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c2300f8c5f.jpg

Well, now, the bolded part gets you a humfrz .... :slap:

:D

What led you to the conclusion it's not condensation ... ??

Betch ya it is moisture .... ;)

My second guess is that the glue you used, is causing the lens to fog where it came in contact with it.

I'd suggest you heat up the area with a hairdryer to see if the "foggy" line moves (disappears).

Come back.

Im for sure it's not condensation , it looks different but similar. I waxed the car before this happened, possible it's wax?

I will give the hairdryer thing a try later.

If it's on the outside, I'd suggest you scrub it down with some Dawn soapy water and a tooth brush ....... see if it goes away........

just don't wash the car and then when it's dirty it will blend in with your tail lights fog

Either it's on the outside and you can run it off (use some extra elbow grease or maybe even a buffer to make certain) or you can't and it's on the inside meaning you need to cut them open again probably.

Unfortunately it's on the inside, guess I'm just gonna have to deal with it

Not quite sure how far past the edge/curve the cloudiness extends, but you might be able to get away with a well cut piece of opaque vinyl covering the top of the lens and the clouded part?

Just came across this taillight cover from Downforce as well:

You might be able to get some long Q Tips (I get them at an electronics supply), and clean theough the bulb pass thru

Or, you can tape a Q Tip to a pencil. Also, it might help to put a piece of cloth or paper towel on the end of the QTip and push it around the dirty area.
