Shipping pucks
My BRZ is lowered 2" and needs to be dragged out to California. It's hard to get out of the driveway so that's worrisome.
Dealerships toss what would be useful shipping pucks which slide in the springs as part of the invoice process. I called my local dealership who I thought were cool and they can't help due to liability. Any idea how I can get my hands on 4? Thanks. |
I have so many questions I don't know where to begin.....
"Dragged" as in driven or trailered? Why not just take a rental car and keep the miles off your brz? Why not just purchase some if you really want to go that route? A quick google search brought up a few different brands. Do you want to risk driving across the country with the pucks in your springs? I hope not...... Why would you try to drive a car cross country if you already have trouble getting it out of your driveway? Depending on the route you take you could run into worse weather/road conditions that your car might physically not be able to overcome. Sorry for not providing much help, but I just feel there has to be a better way to go about this. Maybe even just flying :iono: |

Rubber spacers only run about $10 or so each and would be a good investment to have in the car in case it ever needs to be towed anyway. http://static.speedwaymotors.com/RS/.../5501285_L.jpg |

He should look up approach shoring and parking shoring.

Are there springs that lower 2"? I thought you could only get that kind of drop from coilovers. If so, why not raise your car? It would only cost time, probably the same amount of time it would take to install the "shipping pucks". Just sayin...

Yeah yeah yeah, Sorry, that made way to much sense. Buy more parts, spend more time. Yeah that is the answer!:popcorn::popcorn: |

Inserting pucks or rubber spacers take about 5 minutes a wheel. Just jack it up until all weight is off and wedge them in. NOT a good idea for driving though! |
