Uneven Tire Wear
Ok some im sure a lot of u guys on this part of the forum can answer this for me. Tracked the car and the sidewall tread section is alot more worn then the rest of the tire. Tires are re71r.
Car started to develop a slight bounce under light acceleration between 35-40. Took off tires and got them re balanced. Rotated the front to the rear. Now i get the same thing under light acceleration between 45-50. Is this a symptom of the extra wear on the outer edges of the tires from hard cornering or do i need to start looking other places. I dont think a normal driver would notice it but im pretty good at knowing when something is "off" on my car. |
What's your camber? Heavy wear on the outside edge, as well as uneven wear on the center rib, are both common - especially if you have less than ideal camber (>3f/2+r)

What kind of tire pressures did you have on the track?
With out pics I'm guessing you have some feathering on the outside treads. From my experience that is due to heavy braking while turning. I can bet your tires where screaming during your runs. |
