I thought you can flash other tunes so long as they are compatible with your ECU that's why you query the ECU first?? But I have no idea lol!

Ok what we have found is that the ECU hardware appears to be same for all cars, even auto and manual.

This means you can flash any rom to car 2012-2016 (the my 2017 is an unknown) and it should not "brick" the ECU.

However different countries have different options on car.

for example USA cars have more evap/cpc systems than out Australian car. Infact the CPC pressure connection as used by flex kits is not even pinned on australian cars.

So while a rom from another country will not brick ecu, the car may thow a lot of cel codes as it sees different hardware connections or the firmware in other modules like dash auto trans computer etc is different.

Manual roms wont work in auto cars, well the engine will run but theirs no code (or tables not populated) to talk to the auto trans computer.

But its very likely you could run a A01G rom in your A01J car.

I cannot guarantee this though.

If you find the A01G works fine, it will be very helpfull to you as a lot of development has been done on this rom like flex code.
