BRZ header install

I just installed some UEL headers on my BRZ yesterday and I didn't even think to check what the header nuts are supposed to be torqued to.

I'm a little worried that I may have over tightened them. Drove the car for about 50 miles now everything seems fine.

Stock spec is 27 ft lbs I believe? Hard to imagine what 27 ft lbs feels like with a regular ratchet. Should I get a torque wrench and loosen and re-tighten the nuts?

Thanks guys

You should be fine, I wouldn't worry too much about hitting exactly 27 lb-ft. Did you use new bronze nuts?

I did not. I used the nuts from the previous exhaust manifold.

I've installed dozens of exhaust on various cars, hand tight was good enough.

Not worth going back and re-doing, but occasionally used nuts will come loose. Just keep an eye on it and listen for exhaust leaks.
