Aftermarket shift knob installation

Hello, so I got a new shift knob and I'm having issues with the installation. When I finish threading it in, the shift pattern is upside down and it always finishes upside down no matter which way I start to thread it in. Does this mean the engraving was down on the wrong side of the knob? Is there any tips you guys can give for me? I'm thinking using loctite, but I just want to see what you guys think first. Thanks

Try some small washers inside the shift knob to change how far it screws on.

definitely don't use loctite, I'd go with the washer method. What brand is it? usually they have a set screw or a counter bolt in the hole to adjust where it stops.

It should have come with a jam nut. Contact them and they should be able to get you what you need.

That makes sense, thank you! I checked the box thoroughly and sure enough, no nut inside :(

Emailed them

Also saw on their site they posted possible jam possible fitment issues, from switching companies. I didn't even receive one though

Emailed them and was told to use loctite...No mention of a jam nut whatsoever. I emailed asking about the nut, but no response..

Not sure if this is okay or not..ha

Id put a small washer in the hole before using loctight. Just go to Home depot and get some small ones that will fit inside the hole put as many as you need to get it to line up. Trial and error but at least you can then tighten it down.
