SPC Front Camber Bolts (Top or Bottom Hole)
Hi All,
I've read some conflicting information on the boards about the SPC camber bolts for the front of the car about whether they go in the top or bottom slot of the strut. Some people are doing top, others bottom. The instructions said to put them in the bottom hole but my technician installed them in the top hole. In contrast, I've seen some Whiteline instructions say the top hole is better than the bottom. Right now, I'm sitting at the following. Front: -1.1, -1.2 camber 0.03, 0.04 toe Rear: -0.9, -1.5 camber 0.03, 0.01 toe Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just looking for a mild alignment for 10% autox / track days, 90% daily driving. Thanks, |
The instructions for my whiteline camber bolts suggested the top holes for the install. They also stated if you wanted a more aggressive setup to use the bottom holes. I personally went for the top hole and got -1.3/-1.3

EDIT* Whiteline makes both a 14mm and 16mm bolt. 14mm installs on the bottom hole and the 16mm in the top. SPC one is supposed to be used in the bottom hole from the quick search I just did as its a 14mm. |
They are all SPC, whiteline is just rebranded, and it is the size that matters. 14mm bottom 16mm top. I used 14mm camber bolts in the bottom and moved the stock bottom bolts to the top, no aligment at all yet. I am trying to kill my stock tires so I don't feel bad replacing them when I get new wheels..lol
