Car wont start, instrument Panel Flickering

Hi All,

Looking for some insight into my issue. 2013 BRZ won't start, it's a keyless transmission. I noticed yesterday that the instrument panel is flickering and when depressing the clutch and pushing the ignition, the car makes a loud click but won't fire. Sometimes the dash will blink as well. Checked the voltage on the battery and seemed low, so we tried to jump it this morning and even with a steady charge it still won't turn over. Could it be a starter issue? The click is very audible and it just sounds like something isn't working. Stock besides a grimmspeed intake and Stage 1 OFT OTS tune. Don't know if that stage 1 flash is the culprit. Sucks because it doesnt seem to be letting me flash back to stock so i can take it to the dealer.

Any help is appreciated here.

Update: Also see the charging system warning light on and Low engineer oil pressure warning light. Not sure if both of these on indicate a specific problem or not. Manual says to contact dealer but they're closed today. :[

Probably just a bad battery. Jumping seems to be hit and miss with these cars. The click is the starter solenoid engaging but not enough juice to spin the starter. Try swapping batteries before anything else.

Thanks guys, you happen to be right. Jumping it on the first car, an Infiniti, didn't seem to do the trick for some reason. Second time with a Toyota worked! :iono:

All good now, Pearl has a new pacemaker installed.

For a 2013, it's probably about time for a new battery
