DRL Issue on Used 2015 FR-S

Hey guys. Just purchased a 2015 Halo FR-S w/ 13,000 on the ODO, from a local Subaru dealership.

I noticed that there are no DRL's on, while driving.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the DRL's should be standard on a 2015 model, right?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yup and they can be enabled or disabled by the dealer. Take it in and get them to active that setting for you. (not something you can do on your own)

I thought so. I called Subaru today and asked and they had no clue what I was referring to. I do have a Toyota dealership relatively close, but I wonder if they would charge me since I did not purchase from them. Thank you for the input!

No worries and I know for a fact it only takes like 3 minutes so don't let them charge you much if anything at all.

That I am not sure of for the brz. Thanks for the info about techstream. I'll mention it tomorrow when I take it to the dealership.

Welcome to FR-S ownership ..........

You may wish to check the fuse for the DRL system.

It's a 10A fuse, in slot #5, in the fuse block, located under the dash..... :)

NOTE: There is a fuse puller along with some spare fuses in the main fuse block under the hood.

I have checked it already. Fuse seems to be fine. Thank you for the advice though!

You can also get an app for your phone called Carista and a blue tooth OBD2 dongle and do this yourself along with some other neat stuff.
Another thing to look out for is some people just unlpug the DRLs. The plug is behind a trap door on the belly pan under the car on the passenger side.

+1 OP, that's a resistor to limit current. If you do find it unplugged, I strongly recommend cleaning both sides before reconnecting it.

LOL well, buy a techstream copy on ebay, or Carista app ($9.99 for a week access) and bluetooth OBD2 and save some money...

Stealerships at their best.
