Decat stock vs. aftermarket header (with OpenFlash)?

Would removing the cat of the stock header (hammer/chisel way) be close to the effect of an aftermarket EL Header?

Are there any experience if it's possible to use the OTS OpenFlash EL tunes with a stock decatted header?

Is there a noticeable change to the sound level of the stock header without the cat? (Did anyone come across a sound file of a decatted stock header on stock exhaust?)

Thanks.

I doubt it will be as effective but it will free up some flow as well as make it louder and likely more raspy. I am sure a off the shelf tune would be fine but I always recommend a custom tune anytime anything is changed like that. The plus side is that doing that is cheap as... (insert your mom joke here) and its stealthy

Wasn't there just a thread about this?

Here it is:

That answered all of my questions. Thanks.

I am seriously considering this route a long with an OpenFlash tablet or a Tactrix cable.

Stealth, cheap and effective!

I saw a used header for approx. 200$ locally. I would might pick that up to use for the experiment and have my original intact.
