Removing the driveshaft
A local driveline shop has offered me a bounty if I remove the driveshaft of my car and bring it to them to take measurements.
How much work would this be? Any parts that would need to be replaced as a result of this? What about fluid loss? Is it flanges at both ends, or is there a slip yoke? |

I have done this a couple of times already and you can actually do this without replacing the trans fluid if you can lift the car with the rear end higher than the front. *Warning* for safety reasons I do not recommend doing this with jack stands as there is a possibility of them tipping over. I used cribbing blocks at different heights to accomplish this.

Thanks for the solid responses. Looks like an easy job that I could do fairly quickly
