Best offset range to use with 17x7.5 wheels?

The title pretty much says it all.

My stock 17x7.5 wheels, pretty sure they are a +42 or +43 offset. Given this wheel size, what is a good range of offset to go with? (I see as low as a +34, as high as a +50 , what are the pros-cons with going to a certain level of offset ?).

Stock wheels are 17x7 and ET48.

I can't find the offset, but I'm pretty sure the RS2 has 17x7.5 forged wheels.

OP, your wheels are fine the offset they are. If you want different wheels, read through the wheel directory. So much good info.
