Diasbled Loud Cold Start with OFT

1 Attachment(s)
Hello!
The moment I received the OFT tablet, I flashed the car with the stage 1 91 tune and loved the subtle but effective differences the tune gave the car.
The first thing I wanted to was to make the cold starts less obnoxiously loud every morning. I just have a catback which happens to be on the loud side and I would rather stay friends with my neighbours.

I followed one of the threads and ended up modifying tables as such using RomRaider.

I read somewhere to change all 1400+ to 1400 but even that was loud so I opted for 1200. Is it safe? Or should I leave the Idle Control values as it is on the stock map?

I am a complete noob on OFT related things and this is my first attempt on doing anything related to it. Please understand if changing that was completely idiotic!

I would greatly appreciate it if you guys had a look at it. Thank you!

yes dropping max idle rpm to 1200 should be ok

you might want to leave a little more maf compensation in at very low temps

also the post ignition timing try using -4 or -6 degrees you have a positive value in their, it will work but it tends to sound realy crap once you reduce the retard beyond about -4 (originally it was -15)

just be carefull and make sure you get the decimal points and the minus signs in where they are supposed to be else weird stuff will happen

Thank you so much!

I changed the MAF Correction after cold start for both Neutral and In Gear for 14F to 9 g/s. Not sure if 'very cold temps' were referring to that row only.

Also why is it only necessary to change Idle Control Target A and E? Tried starting the car and idled at 1500 rpm.

Thank you so much for your reply :thanks:

He meant idle tables A-E (essentially all of them)

correct you need to do all idle tables .

Everything works now thank you guys!

Question: I changed the idle to 1400 and the ignition timing to -4 (it goes to -3.83 when I do) but now my throttle feels like I need to hit it a bit harder to get the car moving to the point I even stalled once. Does anybody know why the throttle sensitivity would have changed?

throttle learning position on the drive my wire throttle is reset on every ecu flash. it learns again each time. same thing happens on battery pull. drive it around a bit, it'll fix itself. its way better than old Toyotas.. has an old Yaris, on battery replacements it was like impossible to drive.
