Are these DRL plugs re-pinnable?
 

So this weekend I decided to work on my custom oil cooler set up which required removing my front bumper. Previously , my wife was around to assist, but I was flying solo for the weekend and didn't think much off it. Went ahead and took off the fasteners and started "peeling off" one side of the bumper when all of a sudden the other side fell off taking the DRL lines with it. Long story short, one of the DRL lines broke off right at the connector.

Would it be possible to "re-pin" this type of connector or am I SOL and just need to buy another DRL? I'd hate to buy another set since the lights work perfectly fine.

I think what the pic doesn't show is that the wire actually broke inside the insulation and there's only about 1/8" of it sticking out.

I figured out that this is one of the regular denso 4 pin connectors and found a cheap eBay knock off, hopefully it works.

I did the exact same thing when taking my bumper off for a radiator upgrade. I also tried finding a replacement part online, but with no luck.
I used small precision wire cutters to strip away the tiny bit of insulation that was left and was able to solder it back together. That's was 6 months ago and DRL still works!

You can prob get an entire replacement harness at a junk yard

I had the same thing happen while doing my oil cooler install and just fixed the wire last night. One of the wires broke close to the connector.

What you need is one of these. I've had it for years and it's one of the handiest tools I own. Search for "pointed pick tool" :

Use that to pull out the orange insert.

The wires attach to a sort of clip terminal that inserts into the plug with a snap. That "clip" is the metal contact in the plug. Use the pick tool to release the clip terminal while pushing on it. It's hard to explain but you'll see what's going on when you get the orange retainer out.

You'll see that the wire is crimped to the clip terminal. You'll need to see how much wire is available and re-solder. If you can get the green gasket back on, fine, if not - put electrical tape on it.

The clip terminal will snap back into place in the plastic plug body. I'd do one at a time so you don't mix them up. Put the orange retainer back in.

If you can't get the plug fixed well enough, the other option is the cut both plug ends off and put fresh connectors on. It's just 2 wires. You could use simple automotive wire connectors, or you could use something like a Weather Pack connector. That's an OEM quality connector that you can spec to do whatever you need it to do. I used them on my last cobra.
