Grinding noise when shifting into 4th

I noticed it about a week ago, when revving the engine out in third then shifting into fourth I get a grinding noise almost like I don't have the clutch in all the way. I've tried shifting slowly into 4th to see if it's just my shifting but nope, no matter how slow I go I get a grind. Any ideas? Is my transmission about to give in??

It goes into gear just fine but it just grinds once I put it in gear for just a second. Plus it only does it if I'm shifting at 6k+ if I'm just driving calm its smooth as can be.

Maybe your car's transmission would like some new and different fluid .... ??

That may not help ..... but it won't hurt.....:)

What's tricky ..... ?? ......;)

Changing the fluid or the 3-4 shift .. ??

To change the fluid, simply loosen the fill plug (to make sure it's not frozen), take off the drain plug, drain old oil, put drain plug back on, tighten, take off fill plug, fill with the proper oil till it won't take anymore, put fill plug back on and tighten down.

There are DIY pictures of where the plugs are on this site.

Some folks like the Motul product.

Keep us posted.

Guessing I heard wrong lol. I didn't see it being any different to change trans fluid on our cars as on any other but I've heard otherwise lol.

Will do
