18x9 +30 wheel tire fitment help!
 

Hi guys, I recently bought 18x9 +30offset set of wheels and wondering if any of you guys have the same size can help. I'd like to know what size of tires you guys have with this set. I plan on keeping it on stock height as much as possible. Thinking of goin with 225/40 front & 235/40 rear. Would I have a problem with the tires rubbing off my fender? PLEASE HELP!

Oh, and should this not have been something to consider BEFORE you bought the rims??????

u should be fine. i ran 18x9.5+34 245/40/18 and never had any rubbing issue on stock suspension

Hey I am old enough I have to resist the temptation of referring to fancy wheels as "mags" or I would confuse most of the people here!

Back on Topic, the wheel choice is not really a good one if you want to Keep the Suspension stock.


Good News first, it will fit with no rubbing


Now to the bad news:


18x9 +30 will stick out in the front aobut 5-7mm on stock Suspension. You can drive like that, but depending on where you live it may be street legal or not. You can "solve this" with camber bolts (at least a bit) or with Coilovers, but it always will be not an optimal Fitting.


Tire wise, same Story. You could go for 225/40/18, however this means the tire will be streched a bit. Depending on your personal taste, you will not care or you will hate the Looks of it.


You can also go for 245/35/18, which will be a good fit for the wheel size, but this also means the tires will stick out even more in the front than the wheels. See above what this means and how you could solve it.

im running 18x9 +30 in the front and i am rubbing with 3 inch drop on 225/40. If you are at stock height (or close to it) you should be okay. 225/40 will give you a mild stretch.

i see.. hows do you like 225/40 on yours?

i love them for the drop that i have. Would of like to run a 235 but it would rub like crazy on the front fenders. The 225/40 still rubs but only with bumps and full lock.

honestly i'd like to run with 235 as well. but i've been getting recommendation for 225/40s. for sure i'd run 235 on the rear tho

Run 235/40 all around on that 9

You shouldn't rub at all depending on your alignment.

I was running 245/45/18 on a 18x8.5 with +38 offset.
